THANKSGIVING

Happy Thanksgiving ya'll! We celebrated this special holiday 6206 style baby! We had Hotpot (Huo Guo) and Turkey! Now, as some of you might remember, we had AMERICAN style CHINESE hot pot. Check out what they like to eat in their huo guo in China...

DEFINITELY NO PIG BRAIN in this one! We had lots of veggies, and fish balls, and meat. Let me just say this now, I will NEVER again take my mom for granted when she goes shopping for these ingredients!

My friend Dyana (and her brother Ben) and I
made a turkey, from scratch ya'll! It got it's butt stuffed full of stuffing, and apples, and celery, and onions. It was juicy!

And after dinner, we made these

CTOWN's friend Dan approves as you can see

As a side note, Dan is currently working on AMERICAN GLADIATORS

and is in the process of getting me an audition to be a GLADIATOR cause my body is SWOLL son! My codename will be THE RICE MAN, and everytime I beat a guy down in the joust, I'll say, "No more Mr. Rice guy."

AND, as if that wasn't enough, this being Hollywood and all, a celebrity dropped by to say hello

AND TO TOP THAT OFF, he brought over another celeb friend, too!

Wow. What a night! I give thanks to everyone who reads this blog. Who I DO NOT give thanks to is the members of this house who have seemed to forgot that we even have a blog. I hate them. No i don't. Yes, I do. Merry Christmas!

is it november already?

This is ridiculous! The year two thousand seven is almost over. Soon Thanksgiving will be here, and then Christmas, and then New Years, and then 2008! Good Grief!

Speaking of Good Grief, anyone that is in the LA area, should come see the new Christmas show I am in rehearsals for...
You'll see singing, dancing, prancing, and me in HOT PANTS (one of those is false).

Here are some house updates:

SIMON

Rehearsal schedule

And when I'm not rehearsing, I should be doing other more productive stuff, but instead, my second installment of, THE SIMONYIN PRODUCER SERIES

Shout out to THE WOODMAN. He LOVES these videos.

CTOWN
She is working her ARSE off! On many an occasion she has said that this job will make a woman out of her. I think Guilin already did that, but who am I to tell her otherwise? She works so hard that when she gets home, she just collapses from exhaustion...literally.

JUSTIN
All she does is come home and read scripts and watch movies that her "clients" make.

Although, we did go grocery shopping last night, and Justin made me a wonderful bowl of noodle soup. It was amazing. Justin, if you are reading this, I want a bowl right now! Also, her mom is on Facebook. Wow.

TIM
Tim is also in a new show.

He also talks to our neighbor who only speaks Spanish. Apparently, she gave us these rocks.

JOE
After leaving MTV cause he was sick of the bullshit, Joe is now constantly away, shooting shows for MTV.

We also had a house meeting

and it was decided that yes, i should, indeed, wash my hands after urination.

I have way too much time (and apparently pee) on my hands.

Peace out homies.

Asian Nation

This past Friday, we went to a random strip mall storefront owned by a sweet, old Korean couple to sing karaoke. They had a wireless mic there! Get with it, all hard-wired and thus restrictive karaoke venues!

Saturday, I ran errands. Last week, I bought the following for a total of $5 on Magnolia Ave.

That night, Joe and I randomly decide to go to San Diego. Justina was already there for a film festival. Simon was working on Saturday night. Joe's cousin lives down there and it's only 1 1/2 hours away, so why not! We get there and ditch the fratty bar scene for the beach.

After the beach, we went to a burrito place. The burritos are amazing out here. They also have these drinks.

The flavors are: Jamaica, Horchata and Tamarindo. I tasted each one. Not an immediate fan, but they seem popular with the locals.

The guy that helped us was awesome.

Yes, that is a gold AK-47 medallion.

I have been living like a freshman in college. Going out and then eating Jack in the Box at 3am. Freshman 15! ha. sigh.

I am still in my palm tree awe phase. The mountains and palm trees as a constant backdrop still amazes me.

It's been my bday for 1 hour. My roommates surprised me with cake and a balloon after midnight! We were watching tv and everyone left to go to Ralph's. I had no idea! I heart my 6206 roomies.

freelance or die muther f'er!

So a lot of you have asked for this, and who am I to deny you? Here is an exterior picture of the house.

And here is the money shot.

We've spent many a day by the pool and many a night by the fire. I must say, living with these guys has made me feel like I never left New York sometimes, except for the awesome weather, gigantic living space, and oh, no freaking metro!

There was a moment last weekend when Greg Woo came to LA, and we had dinner at a Japanese joint. It was him, me, Cynthia, Joe, Mike Y, Gary Gabisan, Justin, and I was like, "wow, I'm in the East Village right now, and we all just got done shooting a Top Ten Chi Countdown!"

Whoa. Talk about mind explosion. I was expecting Woody and Cheriyan to walk in at any moment. Now if that happened, I would have exploded for sure!

So now, I spend my days freelance producing, while still acting and auditioning (shout out to Joe and Mike's company, GREY TV)!

Check out my latest producer gig!

There is obviously more than just that, but it's a far cry from an emmy, that's for sure.

Anyway, producing is fun. and i must give credit where credit is due. Please check out this site for my mentor's page. thank you my brother!

It's 4:00AM west coast time right now. What the freak am I still doing up? The answer: being entertaining as hell with this post right now!

Check out my "production" schedule for these past days.

Anyway, we've hopefully, got some pretty creative ways in which we plan on showing you the interior of the house...and other going ons.

Stay tuned!

Delayed Random moments of week 1

This past weekend I stumbled upon the best street in the world. Magnolia Ave. Thrift shops galore. Half of the stores were closed because it was Sunday. Most things close here at sundown. Car washes - stores that are not in a mall - it's weird.

I am still living out of my suitcase. It's driving me nuts. I burrow through my clothes every morning, inevitably making a mess all over the room, tossing everything onto my bed only to toss everything back into the suitcase at bedtime. I've hung up 12 things with the 12 hangers I bought at Ralph's - the grocery store. I'll get it together soon.

GPS system - as dependent on this as a newborn baby. It has a suction problem and falls off the window a lot. Being that I can't drive without it even for a second, when it fell one time, I immediately tried to fix it, causing me to drive with elbows and thus swerve. This angered the man behind me whose violent ape noise faded up and faded out as he zoomed by me. It left me a bit shaken.

Sorry for lack of pictures. My camera is broken, but we promise to have more pics and videos up soon.

to all those drinking hater-ade

is it in you?

man, when we first started this awesome blog, i thought that it would bring us closer as a team, as a household, as a family. never did i ever think that this blog would be used to destroy us.

Here is my rebuttal to justins last post.

and no, chris yong, for the last time...you may NOT see my "junk."

Week 3

Even though i've only been embedded for three weeks, there has been plenty of developments to report on. My main concern is that while i do have 3 Chinese roommates, none of them have agreed to make me General TSO's Chicken or Chicken with Broccoli , both of which i love, yet still have to purchase from outside sources. I think this is ridiculous and a waste of domestic resources.

Simon, now in his elderly years, has given up on wearing pants while at home and has been forcing us to watch his magic shows. His juggling skills are pretty impressive though. He combats the effects of old age by the playing the guitar at night. Sometimes he wanders into my room without warning while i'm sleeping. Each of which doesn't bother me much, but it's weird when he combines these habits.

In defiance for being placed in the storage room, Cynthia has occupied Tim's room since he has been away. It's going to be fun watching Tim try to regain his territory. I will document this event for everyone. She's also fighting back by stealing everyone's sweaters when they leave it in the living room. On the other hand, she has proved to be a useful resource for organic goods. Every night she cuts up about 3 watermelons and walks around with a tray of it for like 4 hours.

Justina, in an attempt to reduce competition for Cynthia's produce, recently tried to kill me with a kamikaze technique while driving us to Blockbuster. Lucky for me, the oncoming pick-up truck was agile enough to dodge the maneuver. Other than that she has maintains a calm demeanor. However, the complete opposite comes to the surface when you give her alcohol. It's crazy, I'll will also make it one of my goals this year to capture this phenomenon on tape so ya'll can see. She also likes to leave wrappers for things all over the house.

I'll have more updates for you all soon, as long as i can hold off Justina's assassination attempts...

Justin is here!!

ALL NIGHT Simon & Cynthia are complaining about me and joe not blogging on our site - here you go - you wanted it, you got it!

Here is my spill:
So Simon never washes his hands after going to the toilet, he claims that,
"MY WEE WEE IS SO CLEAN, why bother?? why are you SO afraid?"
Then I will be running to the corner of the room and be like,
"EWWW, that's so gross!"
As I said that, he came closer and said, "hahha don't be scared, come over sweetie!" with that evil wink ;> (you know how that goes.)
Then he said, "oh, by the way, your boyfriend called today." And then he took out his phone.
And of course, I leaned over and asked, "Who?"
And he said, "HAha!" and as he said that, he put his "dirty little fingers" on my innocent face!

GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
THIS IS RIDONCULOUS! I can't stand this no more, It happened multiple times before. I dont think he understands how dirty and disrespectful that is. And of course, the generous and kind Justin would never yell at the ignorant Simon. I respect elderly!! He just needs to learn his lesson. So if you would please help me teach this old man, reply to this post.

if you agree with me, please kindly reply to this post and STOP SIMON FROM PUTTING HIS URINE ON ME OR SPREADING HIS GERMS/ DISEASES TO ME AND MY ROOMMATES!!!
I hope the old man will learn from this lesson. After all, I just want him to be a better person. - PEACE

Thank you for reading! I miss you all! =)

NY vs LA pt 1

A couple quick, random observations:

- I tried to order an egg sandwich on a roll. They asked me again what I would like it on. A roll. Blank stares. I don't know if lack of roll knowledge is just that one shop or if this is a city-wide situation.

- The girls wear high heels to work.

- My boss asked me to go on a run "right around the corner." I say, oh, I'll walk. Blank stare. I felt like Anne Sullivan teaching Helen Keller a new word. W-A-L-K: then demonstrating on my boss' legs - one foot in front of the other. Turns out, "right around the corner" means 5 blocks away, and everyone drives everywhere, even if it's just across the street. I walked anyway and discovered that:

- Drivers are nice to pedestrians! You are treated like a disabled. I was jaywalking like I often do in NY, and I was half-way across the street. The other side stopped for me in the middle of the road and they had 3 rows behind them. They must pity people who don't have wheeled-legs. Maybe my jaywalking freaked them out.

On a side note - I saw my first "celebrity" sighting. During one of my walking jaunts, I saw Kennedy, one of the OG MTV VJ's doing a link outside of some hotel/club/restaurant. I also walked by NY style - pretending not to care.

first post with the most with your host giving a toast while eating roast...and i don't mean to boast, but i'm fly

Welcome to our own version of the Real World, North Hollywood!

Joe. He is the slut of the group. And the house alcoholic. If we had a hot tub, he would be the first one to jump in naked.

Justin.
She is the den mother. The kind who tells you to clean up stuff while at the same time throwing her bag of chips on the ground.

Tim.
He is the house treasurer. He makes sure the bills are paid on time, and that we aren't overcharged for our water.

Cynthia. The last member of the house. She arrived 2 days ago and is already going crazy. She definitely gives the house a new energy. We'll see how long she lasts before LA beats her down.

And then there's me. I'm Simon. I am the unemployed slacker of the house, constantly waiting for the call that will one day make me famous. So that pretty much means, I sit around the house all day, waiting for my roommates, and best friends, to come home....so we can do stuff like this:
